SOS viaDFII™ - ClioSoft Data Management from the Cadence IC Platform

SOS viaDFII provides unparalleled design data management and multi-site team collaboration support for the Cadence IC platform. Cadence IC design tools seamlessly integrate with the SOS Design Collaboration platform, streamlining development of complex ICs with large teams across geographically dispersed sites.

SOS viaDFII empowers project teams with new levels of data collaboration by providing access to SOS data management and collaboration features directly from the Cadence IC Design Platform (Design Framework II). SOS DM features can be readily invoked from the Cadence Library Manager. Designers can work with logical design units such as libraries, cells, and views without thinking about the co-managed set of physical files that make up these logical design units.

SOS viaDFII is 'design-aware' and supports DM operations for an entire design hierarchy or for a category of cells. For instance, you can check out all the cell views in a design hierarchy or tag all the cells in a category. Cell views are automatically checked out ’just in time’ to further simplify the data management experience.

SOS viaDFII supports the SI2 Open Access (OA) database format and the legacy Component Data Bank (CDB) format.
