SOS viaICstudio™ - ClioSoft Data Management from Mentor ICstudio

SOS viaICstudio is the only design data management solution available for Mentor Graphics’ ICstudio. ICstudio seamlessly integrates with the SOS Design Collaboration platform to streamline development of complex ICs with large teams across geographically dispersed sites.

SOS viaICstudio empowers project teams with new levels of data collaboration by providing access to SOS data management and collaboration features directly from Mentor Graphics’ ICstudio. SOS DM features can be readily invoked from ICstudio’s revision control menu. The relationship between the logical design units and physical files is very complex, known only to the design tool and may change with each revision. However, with this tight integration, designers can work with logical design units such as libraries, cells, and views without thinking about the co-managed set of physical files that make up these logical design units. Cell views are automatically checked out ’just in time’ to further simplify the data management experience.

This integration is the result of a joint development project between Mentor Graphics and ClioSoft.
